Company Profile

The Alcohol Drug Council  & the  High Gain Project  has been providing treatment services to alcoholics, addicts, family members, and to our community since 1974. The Council is one of the oldest non-profit , independent agencies in the county dealing with prevention of addiction and associated negative behaviors. We believe we have demonstrated a treatment approach that remains successful in the prevention and treatment of addiction and associated negative behaviors which has been validated by the Council's experience since 1974. Our agency was designed as a multiple-functional, community based treatment center allowing for a variety of services. The Alcohol Drug Council-High Gain Project, is partially funded by Los Angeles County Alcohol & Drug Program Administration, offers a multitude of services, including our Community Based Alcohol Drug Outreach Project, "JumpStarts".   Our site has been developed to help guide participants through a very difficult and often frightening time in their lives. Our Mission is to integrate our alcohol/drug treatment services into an effective and efficient community based treatment system. Our goal is to empower individuals with knowledge, confidence, responsibility and competencies necessary for personal development. It is our desire to provide a safe, caring opportunity for individuals to fully recover from the disease of addiction's). We are committed to providing quality and ethical care to our community.

Gaylord's founding philosophy and objective: To be involved in programs that embrace the Disease Concept of Alcoholism and Addictive Disease with the focus on secondary-tertiary phases of prevention.  The primary strength and strategy will be the promotion of alcoholics and co-dependents into self help maintenance.
