DUI-DMV "Administrative Per Se" Sanctions:
The administrative driver license suspension was signed into law by the Governor as a strong deterrent to drinking and driving, effective 1/1/90.
This law requires the DMV to suspend or revoke the driving privilege of any person arrested for DUI who;
At the time of arrest you may receive an Order of Suspension/Revocation from the arresting officer. If you are a California licensed driver, the arresting officer will remove your driver's license and mail it to the DMV. The Order of Suspension/Revocation form provided to you serves as a temporary license and will expire 30 days from its issue date. Clients have 10 days to apply for a DMV hearing to contest Administrative Per Se sanctions.

You may be eligible for a restricted driver's license by enrolling into a State Licensed Drinking and Driver Program. Department of Motor Vehicles may require proof of completion of a State licensed Drinking and Driver Program to reinstate your driving privilege.
